Because designing a good looking and sexy button doesn’t always provoque the call-to-action we want the user to make. Designing a website isn’t the same at all as designing magazine or a flyer. Those are 2 different works, believe me I do both and can’t and MUST NOT think in the same terms.
Designin a website is focusing on the interaction with the user. It’s not thinking of a creative or original image, but thinking of a smart way to make the user do a specific action, make the user access the piece of information that will make him use the service or buy online, in a few words: become a client.

The right answer is to remove the button altogether and replace it with something that people do want to click. Something they do want to do…the appropriate next step in their lifecycle as a customer.
